Category:Images by person/Maryana Iskander[edit]

I'm totally unfamiliar with any precedent for naming a category this way. I believe it doesn't fit into our naming standards; is there something I'm missing here? Jmabel ! talk 01:03, 18 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The same user seems to have created several other categories with similar naming:

  •  Delete all. The "Images by person/" prefix (a fake parent-cat or subpage style) does not seem to be standard. These duplicate, for example, Category:Florence Devouard that is well-categorized by the characteristics of this person. DMacks (talk) 08:25, 20 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The person who created these categories now agrees they were wrong, so I think this is resolved (merging or moving to the usual category for each person). - Jmabel ! talk 20:11, 20 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
