Commons:Trademarks proposal

Trademark usage is restricted enough that trademarks are not truly free content which can be used for any purpose. Even though such images may in fact be released under a free license, they are in effect non-free because of the trademark restriction.
Proposal[edit]
Any image that depicts a registered trademark shall be subject to deletion regardless of its copyright status.
This applies to images which are deemed to have been created for the purpose of depicting the trademark, whether or not the trademark is in fact the entire image. This does not apply to images which incidentally show a trademark.
Alternative wording[edit]
The term "trademarked logo" could be used instead of "trademark".
